What BILAY keeps, and what it doesn't. Updated 23 October 2026.
Made in your browser
Background images, theme files and Power BI projects are made in your browser. An image you upload as a background stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
Your data files
CSV and Excel files you open in Data are read in your browser and never uploaded. The tables, fixes and model live in that browser tab until you close it or click Clear local data; nothing is saved on your device or on our server. The Power BI project and the React app built from them are made in your browser too; the React app holds totals only, never rows.
Your account
If you sign up we keep your email, your name, and a hash of your password or your Google account id and picture. We also keep the designs you save: layout, style, theme colours and KPI text. If you make an MCP token, we keep a hash of it and when it was last used.
Signing in sets a session cookie, bilay_session. We keep a record of each session (browser and IP address) until it ends, at most a day.
AI suggestions
When you generate layouts in Describe, or describe_dashboard over MCP, your description goes through our server to Mistral AI, which suggests KPIs and names. We don't store the text. We count AI requests per account per day to keep usage fair.
In Data, AI is used only when you click Suggest with AI. It sends the table and column names and their types (text, number, date), never a value from your files. We don't store them.
Analytics
We count page views and button clicks with Umami, on bilay.pro only. It sets no cookies and doesn't identify you.
Deleting your data
Email ahmdashourlink@gmail.com and we delete your account and saved designs.
